Hella, Hans and the bridge.
The canvas shows Katharina's grandparents Hella — Helene Ottilie Barth, née Beiderlinden — and Hans, Johann Baptist Barth, in front of the remains of the Hindenburg Bridge. The photograph was taken around 1950 while the destroyed Rhine crossing was being dismantled. This is both Rüdesheim history and family history.
